“When I was still a young boy, every time I was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was “a hotel manager”. It had always been my dream since that young age but due to the difficult times, at the age of fourteen, I just decided to start with a summer job in the tourism industry, as an assistant waiter at the Akti Zeus Hotel. That was my first experience in the hotel industry as well as my first step towards my dream.
At that point, being completely certain about what I would like to do in my life, I made the decision to attend the Institution of Higher Hospitality & Tourism Education in Rhodes. I continued my studies in Germany, where I attended a post-graduate course in Economics and after having returned in Greece, I started fulfilling my dream, being for many years a Hotel General Manager in a variety of 5 stars luxurious hotels and resorts in Crete.
In 2006, I decided to establish my own company, “Chnaris Hotel Management, Development & Consulting S.A.”. My team, including my main partner, my daughter Efi Chnari, and I offer our Services to our partners - hotel owners, having a full consistency and knowledge, thus always achieving the best desirable results for the hotel owners. The company’s principles depend on important values such as the teamwork, the mutual respect and the constant open communication.”
